NANOXtreme® is a miniature optical connector designed for defense, aeronautics and space applications where high levels of performance, compact dimensions, and low weight are critical. The connector exists in 2 versions: with or without a mounting flange.
It establishes a secure point-to-point optical connection.
The NANOXtreme® connector has been tested for operation under shocks and vibration conditions, as well as under dynamic variations of the temperature from -55 °C to +125 °C. Besides, it has zero-outgassing as it is made of stainless-steel and Zirconia materials.
Hence it is resistant to high-temperature and corrosion, and it is fully adapted to vacuum applications.
The NANOXtreme® connector is offered with a 1.25 mm ceramic (Zirconia) ferrule with either a PC or APC end-face polishing. It accepts single-mode and multimode fibers with a 125 μm cladding.
This connector can accept any type of fiber protections smaller than 1 mm in diameter including hytrel, peek and metal tubing.
